Having mentioned that I was going back to work this week I also have returned with a new cutting style as well as a complimenting coloring technique. I stated both on my Facebook page. Both combine and create the Zydeco Swirl.
Each day helped create the learning curve. With each client I got the opportunity to refine the process. Hopefully the Facebook page was easy enough for people to write their own feed back, and thankfully everyone has enjoyed the process. With the cutting technique most people see what I do, soft lines that can be used with any haircut and any length. The biggest pay off seems to be added volume! It reminds me most of invisible layering, even with the added bonus of using it on all one length hairstyles!
The Zydeco Coloring was best described to me by a client as a tie tying effect, but think soft and more fusion, of color lines. I think of it as the evolution of Wabi Sabi. As to not scare anyone, remember, even when I try to be avant guard my work is always soft with a very natural feel. I am working next on getting a video presentation as well as a few head shots of the color.
