This is Tracey Morris, first of all a wonderful person and friend. Her color is a bit more complex. Fist I began with a a base color at the the scalp which was a caramel medium blond. Then I used partial foils through the top. The interesting part here is that I did use a bleach but I mix my bleach like no one I have ever heard of. I came up with the idea as a way of buffering the hair shaft from the effects of harsher chemicals like bleach. So I can not divulge my trade secret. I am sure you understand. Then I used a caramel dark blond mixed in another unorthodox fashion and applied it with out foils only on partial areas of the hair strands. I do not mean I applied the color between foils I actually used the color as fusion only on different parts of the hair strand. Sometimes I apply the color to only the middle of the hair strand rather than from scalp to ends. Another trade secret. The result is my own form of color fusion rather than just foil streaking. Hope you all like it.

Quick fixes for quick hair days!!

Hi everyone I am going to talk about a few tips that are standard for whenever you just do not feel like you can leave your home because of a BAD HAIR DAY!!!!
1.  Tip number one believe it or not was one of my favorite ways of wearing my hair years ago when it was long.  Try a Half up and half down !  Add instant volume to flat hair by sweeping the sides back and securing hair with a clip or pin.  This is good for hair of any length.  I used it with my own hair which was layered, but it can of course be used with all one length hair.  This is really easy and can actually become very addictive because it adds a flair of ease and style to any hairstyle.
2.  Tip number two, make a sided braid.  Just sweep the hair over and pretend like your in the youth of your spring.  .  Then just allow your bangs to be part of a nice side sweep and secure the bottom of the braid with a hair elastic.  Try your best to not use a rubber band, this can cause breakage.   Try and find an elastic that goes with your hair color.  This look is considered very playful.    Matched with the right outfit, or shirt or even  a nice stylish hat and voila!
3.  This next tip may seem a little  safe, but in the right circumstance can really be a life saver.  Keeping your misbehaving mane in check with a headband!  Basic black willl go with any choice of clothing.  But try to expand yourself by matching your clothing.
4.  Another tip that has always been a favorite  is often seen on cruise ships.  The reason being, that Europeans have a much more causal attitude with their hair.  Go slick and sleek.  Use a pomade or paste.  Pomades work best for hair that has a bit of dryness and Paste work best for hair that perhaps needs a more matte finish.  Apply the product sparingly and then just brush back into a low, neat bun.
5.  Create a chic Pony!  Get unruly hair off your face by gathering it into this classic go to style.  For an extra touch take a small section of hair from the pony, wrap it around the base, and secure it with bobby pins.
6.  For shorter hair try spritzing dry hair and then blow dry the hair away from the face with a flat paddle brush.  Sophistication every time!

Just checking in!

Hi everyone, just letting you know that the first 'part time' week in the salon has gone really well!  Finger OK, but most importantly the people that have experienced the new color technique, Zydeco Swirl and the new cutting method are giving me great responses!  I want to tell you that the types of cuts that this method works on seems to be endless.  My greatest feedback on this new technique is the amount of volume and body that is released through the cut.  Even on 'all one length hair' which is by design meant to be flat!  Again I promise to try and get some video and pictures here real soon.  Thanks for checking in! Looking forward to seeing you soon!
